Got a drawing monitor. Decided to pretty this up a little. Updated the eyes and hands as best I could, fixed the most glaring  issues, updated Korra's look, fixed what little needed fixing on Yang, who was perfect in almost every way. All-in-all, pretty good start with the monitor.

Just some dicking around with photoshop before I jump back into the next comic. Sun Wukong from RWBY.

I'm dicking around with my tablet, trying to figure out a quick process what with the projects and time restrained by work. Basically I do I real quick pencils, an hour at most, then throw it in the computer. I think I can repeat the process within three hours, push comes to shove.

Neo's another RWBY character. Crazy and skilled, might be powerful but everyone is, and charismatic as fuck. Doesn't say a word, but girl's got style.

I've been dicking around with my tablet for the past lil bit, I adjusted the sensitivity and DPI and it works well now, put some old pencils of Blake Belladonna into the computational device and fiddled with it. Worked out nicely, now I gotta figure out how to work tablet inking into my workflow.

Redheads and Blondes

I did a thing!

It's finally furking done, my first project project. I started this as a way to see how I would work on a schedule. What I learned is that I'm fairly certain I can do pencils on a schedule just fine, the inking and the colouring... not as much. But I'm fixing that.

Add to that the fact that I'm learning colouring, I'm even new to colour theory, and I'm sure anyone with even a passing familiarity with it will notice how different the last page looks to the first. Or the second. I started using a tablet part way through, and it both sped things up and made things better, and added it's own learning curve.

What this really is is a testament to how much you learn by doing. Had a lot of theory under my belt, but I didn't really understand what I was doing until I did it.

There will be a sequel to this, sort of. Kinda the continued adventures of the Skull with various heroes crossing dimensions to fight him.

Having nothing to post was killing me, so I took an hour break from the project to draw a Penny. Think I'm gonna start drawing on my breaks to keep loose.

Ferocious Female Fist Fighters

My two favourite internet ladies, Agent Texas and Yang Xiao Long. A little early for community day, I know, but I needed this up for today. Call this an early practice piece for larger environment pieces.

The Mad King and the Madman

Behold! The Mad King Ryan, First of His Name! Has the Mutant Madman of the North met his match? Can the primal man even fight the animal king?

Blake Belladonna VS Leonardo

So here's the plan. Gonna draw crossover comic book pages based off of some neat little thing or another with the end-goal of practicing my storytelling. This one is a little fight page based off of a design similarity, IE the dual swords. The RWBY announcement and TMNT starting up again had NOTHING to do with it.

Yang With a Corgi and Captain Marvel

Just some practice I finished up a few days ago. I'm fairly certain I've talked about Captain Marvel up  there, but if I haven't all I'm going to say is buy Volume 1 by Kelly Sue DeConnick. Captain Marvel is a badass military gal who doesn't take shit from nobody, one of the best brawlers in the Marvel Universe, and just a genuine joy to read.

And here's a little gift I did in a night.
RWBY Season 2 coming July!

I was just dicking around with a couple tricks I picked up a few days ago, and the new monitor which is much nicer than the built-in I've been using. Figured I'd put some words to it.

Cyclops is furking amazing. He gets a lot of hate because he's been... misrepresented in his media appearances. I don't know much about him pre-M-Day, but since then he's taken every threat to mutant kind and bitch-slapped them into their place, going so far as to take charge of Magneto and Namor, two of the biggest power-houses and long-running leaders of men. He stood up to the leaders of the free world, told them to get out of his way, and when they didn't he moved them. He became what he needed to be to save Mutantkind and in many ways is the reason there are still Mutants in the Marvel Universe.

But one day he made a bad call, and when the dust settled he'd killed Charles Xavier... and won. That's what Bendis's run on both All-New X-men and Uncanny X-men deal with, Cyclops falling from grace and trying to keep doing what he's been doing. Save the world, protect the mutants. Something that I've loved about the X-men is that it has always been about making the world a better place, something that most Avengers or Justice League stories can't say. Cyclops is finished trying to change hearts and minds, he has a people to protect.
